I still have time to experience useful tips. How to learn to do everything: unusual tips. Dye your hair a completely different color

Some things are worth doing when you are young. Here is a list of twenty-five such things.

Go to a music festival

See your favorite band on stage, feel the atmosphere, look at the unique style and culture of such a large event that attracts crowds of people. Live this extraordinary experience before you turn 25.

Treat your parents to dinner at a restaurant

Most likely, your parents have provided for you for years - it's time to repay them for their love, kindness and all the responsibility. Start developing an adult relationship - invite your parents to dinner at a restaurant and pay the bill yourself.

Travel to another continent

Traveling helps you get to know other countries and new people, experience unfamiliar climates, change your view of the world, gain important life skills and become more tolerant. Age is not a barrier to traveling, but the earlier you start, the better.

Do extreme sports

You can try skydiving or jet skiing. The key is to leave your comfort zone and do something that terrifies you. Something you will be proud of one day.

Spend the whole weekend partying

It may not be the most serious thing to do, but as you get older, it will become increasingly difficult to have a carefree night of fun. It's an interesting experience, so be sure to try it.

Talk to someone whose opinion is very different from yours

Connecting with other people helps us realize that we are not so different from others. No matter what you look like, you have a lot in common with those around you.

Vote

Give your opinion on how your country is governed. The democratic right to express your opinion is very important, so take advantage of it.

Dye your hair a completely different color

Or change your hairstyle. Even small changes can help you feel completely new.

Go to a gay club

Or attend a gay pride parade. Conversely, if you already prefer people of the same sex, go to a straight bar.

Stop being friends

Not all relationships are meant to last forever. Some people come and go from our lives. Don't hold on to a relationship that has outlived its usefulness.

Love yourself

During adolescence you explore yourself, your tastes and your interests. As you get older, it's time to accept yourself for who you are - be proud of your own individuality.

Learn to be generous

Giving is much more pleasant than receiving. Try volunteering at a nursing home or starting a charitable donation to an organization you like. Even a simple smile can make someone's day better.

Forget about regrets

Holding on to the past is harmful. Let go of the negativity. Use your energy for healthier purposes.

Go on a blind date

Excitement and unknown result - how will it all end? A blind date can be an interesting memory, you will gain new experiences, and maybe you will find love.

Start playing sports

You are no longer eighteen. The body ages, and the usual loads turn out to be more and more difficult for you. Sports will help you cope.

Learn to cook

Cooking is fun and healthy, plus it's good for your wallet. Try new recipes and develop a list of simple and delicious combinations for every day.

Learn to enjoy life

Learn to just enjoy the moment, just live. It is not necessary to always spend time doing meaningful activities, the main thing is to enjoy the time spent.

Save for retirement

The sooner you start preparing for old age, the better off your old age will be. It may seem like a long shot, but when you retire you will thank yourself.

Spend the night under the stars

Enjoy the beauty of our world. Look at life from a different perspective. When the going gets tough, just head out into nature and enjoy the flawless spectacle of the night sky with sparkling stars.

Learn to manage finances

Money can be not only a source of opportunity, but also a burden. It all depends on how you manage them. Financial control skills have a positive impact on your life. Try to acquire them as quickly as possible in your life.

Wake up in an unfamiliar place

Enjoy the confusion followed by the pleasant realization that you've done something risky. An adventure like this will be a great memory, even if you think that such actions are not for you.

Eat exotic food

The more unpronounceable the name, the more vivid the memories will be! Experience new emotions in an unfamiliar country! You can then share your impressions with friends.

Buy a terribly expensive thing

And then forget about it and don’t wear it. Let it be an impulse purchase, let it be a reward, something you deserve, something you don't even think you deserve. You will never be able to throw this thing away - it was too expensive! It's eccentric, but it will give you something to remember.

Learn to say “no”

The ability to refuse is an important skill that can seriously change the quality of your life. Try to purchase it as soon as possible so that you can start to notice its benefits right away.

Learn to be alone

Our relationship with ourselves is the most important in life. You won't spend as much time with anyone else. Learn to enjoy your own company and alone time. The ability to enjoy being alone is invaluable for many reasons.

I wrote this article because I love all sorts of different experiments. The purpose of the article is to interest and inspire the reader to conduct some kind of experiment. My task is to provide a complete list of what can be done.

I want to try all these 100 experiments and write an article for each point.

But “ideally” because this requires a lot of time and desire. Someday maybe I will do it, maybe not. For now, I’ll list all the possible ideas for self-development and work on yourself, and as things progress, I’ll add links to ready-made articles.

Most often the article will say 30 days. Because a month is a normal time to conduct an experiment, in my opinion. But you can set your own deadlines; for some, one day is enough, while others want to do a hundred days.

  1. Overcoming Internet addiction. It’s something like “How I live without the Internet,” “How I deal with Internet addiction.” I somehow didn’t have the Internet for one day and it was the most productive day.
  2. This was one of the best experiments, we need to repeat it again.
  3. 30 days without social networks. I don't need it, but maybe giving up social media could be helpful for some.
  4. A month of life without TV series. I conducted such an experiment, but I could barely stand it for more than a month and for some reason I don’t want to repeat it).
  5. 30 days of vegetarianism. A good idea for personal growth, you can spend such a month during fasting.
  6. 30 days without TV/movies. It’s the same as with TV series, but only with TV. This is for those who don't watch TV series at all.
  7. Experiments with fasting days. Fasting days are rare in my life. Fasting days are best done once a week or once every two weeks.
  8. 30 days of living in the State of Flow. You read books about the Flow State and then conduct experiments and draw your own conclusions about it. Good for getting out of a creative crisis.
  9. Skirt therapy. .
  10. Feng Shui.. It helps many people occasionally, but for the sake of experimentation, you can try and draw your own measurements and conclusions. Somehow my sister became interested in Feng Shui, I still want to ask her opinion: did it help or not).
  11. Life according to the Fly Lady system 30 days. A great book from the creator of the Kitchen Sink Thinking system. This experiment is only for women, it is about time management and housekeeping. He writes very entertainingly.

  19. Keeping a Diary of Achievements for 30-90 days. Something like this: “My experience, results and successes from keeping such diaries.” I keep a diary myself, but not every day; somehow I didn’t take measurements. I wonder how others are doing with this.
  20. Saving 10% of your income for 90 days. Or saving money for one year. What happened and how did you feel? Is it true that income is increasing? My article will help you.
  21. Keeping a Joy Diary for a month. I once read that one psychologist cured a woman this way; she didn’t understand how much good she had and was fixated on the bad.
  22. Experiment Keeping a Gratitude Journal. It can be carried out within 30-90 days. An experiment to find out what has changed, what has improved, and how it feels, whether it is worth continuing. I use it periodically when I’m not in the mood.
  23. Writing Morning Pages for 12 weeks. In 12 weeks you will know what you want to do in life, what you want to change or what you want to do, maybe even discover some talent in yourself.

  33. A month in the life of a traveler. This is my dream and I will realize it soon.
  34. Month of life of a Buddhist monk. This is if you go somewhere to a temple or to Tibet, or simply to a deserted place, as ascetics do. This is just for the sake of experimentation, but I honestly don’t know what it will look like).
  35. 30 days of asceticism. The same as the life of monks. The experiment is to find out how this will affect your worldview and whether you will achieve enlightenment. I wonder if anyone does that these days.
  36. A week without money. Sometimes there are difficult periods when money comes in. Who is coping? Are you getting divorced too?) This can be turned into an experience to expand your comfort zone.

Because I think that the chakras activate themselves in the process of life and solving various life problems.
  100. Sports experiments. I have very few experiments about sports and physical activities. Here, probably, everyone decides for themselves what suits them.

Time cannot be turned back, which is why its value is difficult to exaggerate. You can't get back lost time. Every adult and independent person has the right to manage his or her time. But why do some people manage to do everything, while others do not have enough twenty-four hours in a day? How to manage everything without compromising your physical and mental health?

You cannot manage time in the truest sense of the word. Management means the ability to use time rationally so that you can do everything you want.

Accounting and operational planning of time is defined as (translated from English as “time management”).

Time management allows you to organize your work and personal time within the framework of one day to a week. To determine the ability to organize life in general, the concept of life management (translated from English as “life management”) was introduced.

There is an opinion that knowledge of time management only helps in work and is needed only by leaders and managers. This is wrong. Time management is useful to any person who wants to organize their time and learn how to use it effectively. An engineer, a housewife, and a schoolboy want to know how to increase productivity and save time, because they all work.

The basic rules of time management will tell a busy person how to manage everything both at work and at home, without harm to health.

The principle of effective time management: time is measured not in minutes, but in events. You need to measure time by life events and actions. This unusual perception of time will give a person a feeling of fullness in life.

The main idea of time management: time should be spent on the main things in life.

How to manage everything if it is not clear what exactly needs to be done? To manage time, you need to learn:

  1. prioritize;
  2. define achievable, specific, clear goals;
  3. plan your day, week, life.

Schedule

Time management starts with planning your day. It’s good when a person knows how to make a schedule for the day, or better yet, write it down in a diary. Goals, objectives, plans and daily schedule written down on paper are more likely to be achieved than those that are not written down.

By creating a daily routine, a person better remembers what he has to do. And you won’t be able to forget anything, because everything is written down!

Another positive aspect of the daily routine is the division of tasks into important and less important. By writing down the exact time by which a task must be completed, a person sorts all tasks into urgent, priority, and those that can be rescheduled.

The daily routine organizes and obliges the individual to be responsible and punctual. You must try to strictly adhere to the schedule.

Tips to help you stick to your daily routine without getting out of line:

  • Order

In order not to waste time looking for things, they need to be kept in order. Each thing should have its own place so as not to remember where it was left.

If a person has everything on the shelves on his desk in the literal sense, then everything is also on the shelves in his head in the figurative sense. A good housewife has all kitchen and household utensils, linen and food in their place, labeled and sorted.

  • Distractions

How to manage everything when there are so many distractions around? TV, telephone, Internet, distracting smells, sounds - these are all time sinks, distracted by which, a person gets out of schedule. There should be time for communication, relaxation and entertainment, but it should also be included in the schedule.

If there are too many distractions, you need to take steps to eliminate them. Yes, a friend who calls just to chat may be offended if she is denied this. But do you need a friend who doesn’t understand that now there is no time to talk to her and continues to bother her?

  • Automatisms

Some everyday procedures can be brought to automaticity. While doing them, do something else at the same time. For example, a girl wants to learn a foreign language on her own, but cannot find time to study because she is busy with housework. She identifies a habitual activity that she does automatically (washing dishes) and, by doing it, learns the language (listening to a tutorial in audio format).

  • Rest

Persistent and hardworking people, answering the question: “How to manage everything?”, decide to extend the working day by refusing to rest. They simply stop resting. As a result, labor efficiency decreases, a person becomes overtired, loses interest in work, and along with it, health.

You need to rest physically, mentally and morally. Outdoor recreation and cultural recreation are a great opportunity not only to relax, but also to recharge your batteries and be inspired for new achievements.

  • Start the day and end it on time

People who set their alarm clock for another five minutes after it has rung, doom themselves to be late, fuss, turmoil and worries throughout the next day.

It is better to always get up at the same time. Going to bed at the same time is also useful, the body gets used to it, and the process of falling asleep goes faster. This is the prevention of insomnia.

How to keep your brain in shape

The problem of lack of time does not always lie in the inability to manage it. Sometimes a person does not have the strength to complete all planned activities. How to improve brain performance? when the brain refuses to think?

Modern life is oversaturated with information, events and stressful situations. All this leads to a decrease in brain performance.

Some people intuitively come to the realization of how to increase mental performance; the body, as it were, tells them what to do.

For example, before an exam, students eat chocolate. Sweets not only improve your mood, but also improve brain function. Chocolate contains sugar, which is necessary for brain activity; it “charges” the brain.

In addition to chocolate, there are other, more effective and healthy ways to increase brain performance:

  • Work breaks

The ability to take a break from work for a while and get some rest has a positive effect on your performance throughout the day. After work, you need to take a break from it, do household chores, hobbies, and communicate with loved ones.

Obsessive thoughts about work do not allow the brain to relax. Often, it is after a person is distracted from the problem, “let go” of it, that ideas come to him on how to solve it.

Consciousness rests during sleep, and the unconscious part of the psyche continues to work. For people who follow the principle “morning is wiser than evening,” the answer to the question of how to increase performance is simple – get a good night’s sleep.

The optimal workload for a healthy and able-bodied individual is from thirty-five to forty working hours per week. Two days off are intended to restore strength, gain energy and desire to work further. In order not to waste your vacation hours, it is also better to plan your weekends.

  • Nutrition

It is good for the brain to eat foods containing natural starch and sugar: nuts, potatoes, rice, beans, brown bread, and so on. So-called slow carbohydrates, unlike fast carbohydrates, can provide energy to the brain for a long time. The diet should include all the minerals and minerals necessary for the human body.

When using writing, you need to know when to stop. If, in a desire to increase brain performance, a person overeats, the effect will be the opposite. Satiety negatively affects brain performance; the body spends energy on assimilation and processing of food instead of sending it to the brain. After a too heavy lunch, a person does not know how to force himself to work, as there is a desire to lie down and rest.

  • Warm-ups, gymnastics and physical activity

It is useful to do physical exercise during the working day. Specialists who work at a computer should periodically take a break from it and do eye exercises. Physical activity improves blood circulation in the brain and also helps restore old or create new neural connections.

Self-massage of the head and neck. Massage of the head and collar area improves blood flow in the cerebral cortex. If you self-massage your head at least once for ten minutes every day, the question of how to force yourself to work in the late afternoon will lose relevance, and the ability to maintain clarity of thinking will remain until the end of the working day.

  • Color therapy

It has been proven that color affects the brain, changing a person’s state and mood. You can charge your brain by looking at the color yellow. This is the color of the sun, energy, optimism. It increases mental performance, tones and invigorates.

You can find or print a picture in which the color yellow predominates, look at a yellow-colored piece of furniture, or look outside on a sunny day.

  • Aromatherapy

All natural essential oils are used in aromatherapy. Citrus and woody scents are the best stimulants for the brain. You can light an aroma lamp (if a person works at home), drop some oil into the aroma pendant and hang it next to you or apply a little to the skin (initially test for an allergic reaction).

  • Reading

Spending at least thirty minutes a day reading is a universal answer to the question of how to increase brain performance. This method is suitable for children, adults, and the elderly.

Reading increases concentration, develops imagination, imaginative and analytical thinking, broadens horizons, develops personality and brain. Of course, not all literature is useful; preference should be given to classical works, scientific and educational publications, and textbooks.

  • Rejection of bad habits

The idea that alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and all other addictive substances stimulate brain activity is wrong. These are false stimulants that only create the illusion of improving brain function.

In fact, they all worsen it, the volume of work performed is reduced and quality suffers. The answer to the question of how to get everything done in a day is obvious for a smoker - quit smoking. Smoking takes a lot of time and health.

Often a person does not know how to force himself to work because he does not know how to motivate himself. In this case, nothing will help him if he does not want to help himself.

How to manage everything when you really don’t want to have time, you’re too lazy to work, your thoughts are focused on anything but work? We need to create motivation!

The best motivation is personal goals. You need to realize and remind yourself why you need to try and work. When work is filled with meaning, it becomes easy and enjoyable. By working consciously, a person inspires himself and stimulates his brain to continue working to achieve his goals.

There is an opinion that a person can be successful in only one thing, since he does not spread himself thin on others. But as soon as you change something in your life, you will see the opposite.

How to learn to do everything: top 4 rules

1. Without unnecessary thoughts

Few people notice that during the day a lot of time is spent thinking and replaying situations that have already happened. But in order to gain valuable experience, once is enough. Otherwise, we make ourselves feel worried and anxious every time. To learn how to keep up with everything, you should put aside anxious thoughts. For example, when you take a shower, you don’t need to “execute” yourself by constantly returning to the past. Better think about what you will do first when you come to work, make a plan in your head.

2. All at once?

When we go on a diet, we always want to see the result the very next day. If you want to do everything, it is important not to rush life. One day is only 24 hours and it is simply impossible to squeeze all the activities and tasks into them. Sometimes the formula “slow and steady” is effective.

3. Without idealism

Getting everything done to perfection is clearly a good habit, as long as it is not obsessive. Sometimes the mess in the room can serve as a reason for inspiration, and not a “polished” concept - exactly what is needed to achieve the desired result, etc.

And remembers, everyone has their own ideal. This does not mean that you need to do everything haphazardly, you need a golden mean, and then during the day you will manage to do everything.

4. Throw away time wasters

In the modern world, it is difficult for us to imagine that we will forget our mobile phone somewhere. But it is he who is one of the devourers of our time: distractions from calls, SMS, games, etc. In order to keep up with everything, it is necessary to abandon for a certain time chronophages, things that take away our time. For example, if you are cleaning, you should not turn on the TV. It’s more fun with him, but the process will take longer, since the picture captivates you, you want to sit down and watch. This also applies to mobile phones, the Internet, etc.

I had a dream. Not even a dream, but an idea: to live by the sea and work remotely. As soon as I voiced this phrase or at least thought about this topic, my inner eye saw a sunny terrace overlooking the sea, a laptop, I heard the sound of waves, the bright sun blinded my eyes, and goosebumps began to run. Either from the degree of reality of the refreshing sea breeze, or from the pleasure that the picture brought.

It is worth admitting that I generate ideas with enviable regularity, and I can be inspired by dreams not only myself, but those around me often fall under their infectious influence. Therefore, I test my dreams for strength - do I really want this or do I just like to think that I want this? And there is only one way to test your dream - try it. So I took it and went to Barcelona for a month (yes, despite the exchange rate, you can also live economically in Europe). As a result, I received not only the embodiment of an inspiring picture, but also a portion of new experience, a lot of discoveries, and one very important and useful new habit. But first things first.

Looking back, I tried to analyze what an ideal trip should be for me in order to have time to relax, see the country, and at the same time spend time usefully? I share my discoveries.

1. One day it’s worth going on a dream trip.

I think everyone has that trip that keeps getting put off because it requires too much money, or certain circumstances, or an incredible coincidence of conditions that never coincide. Therefore, from year to year some other trips are planned, but the dream trip is carefully stored and postponed until later. This happened to me with Barcelona. Of course - you need to have time to see distant countries, explore other continents, even more than once, but Spain - it’s close, I’ll always have time. Moreover, everyone likes it so much that after it other countries will not seem so interesting.

In general, this time it was decided to make a dream come true, or rather two. And it was incredible! Everything immediately became clear - why I was so drawn to this place, why it was so important and necessary for me, why I’ve been learning the language for the second year without any practical goals, why... the list can be endless. It seems to me that everyone will have their own answers to their important questions - you just have to listen to your desires and go on your dream trip.

2. One day it’s worth going on a trip alone and/or in a new company.

Not everyone is ready to be alone with themselves during a trip - some are afraid of not being able to cope with possible difficulties, others are hesitant to leave their significant other or family. Traveling alone is one of my favorite ways to travel and is always the most interesting and action-packed experience. It may not suit you and you won’t like it, but until you try it, you won’t know.

This time, traveling without my usual company was just a coincidence, because my loved ones either could not leave for a month or were not interested in traveling to Barcelona. But this opened up opportunities for new experiences - two people from a distant circle of acquaintances, whose vacation dates magically coincided, were inspired by my idea. The result is two completely new views on vacation, a difference in interests and the opportunity to see Barcelona from two new angles. And also two new close people.

3. One day it’s worth going away for 30 instead of 7/10/14 days.

According to psychologists and employers, the ideal vacation should not last too long, otherwise it will be difficult to return to work. It turns out that three days is enough to relax and “disconnect” from work processes. And in order to easily adapt to work after vacation, it is recommended to rest for no more than two weeks. Previously, my travels lasted just from 3 to 14 days. During this time, I managed to do a lot in active recreation mode. But after such a busy rhythm, my only desire after returning was to go on another vacation.

On the other hand, according to doctors, for proper rest the body needs 3-4 weeks to have time to adapt, acclimatize and rest. I remember the stories of my parents that they used to give vacation once a year and for a month. I wanted to see if this timeframe would suit me. Now I am sure that for me the duration of an ideal vacation is exactly a month. Every week is lived in a completely new way, and this is the perfect time to first take a closer look at Barcelona, then get to know it better, then want to exchange it for nearby places, and finally return, bored and sad, to start a real serious romance with it. . Both of my holiday companions were sad to find that two weeks of rest was not enough for them, and they would gladly have extended their holiday by two more.

4. One day it’s worth giving up tours in favor of independent travel.

Any of my trips begins not on the day of departure, but much earlier - on the day I begin preparations for it. I like to plan and organize everything on my own, look for tickets, select accommodation, find out the subtleties and nuances from friends who have already been to this place.

Besides the joy of planning and organization, there is always limitless freedom in traveling on your own. You can choose a place or several, flight, dates, accommodation, and be able to change everything at any time. You can be open to how the journey unfolds on its own, what opportunities it offers, and choose from them what you like.

5. One day it’s worth making friends with the local “natives”.

What always gives me the most pleasure when traveling is getting to know and communicate with local residents, the opportunity to “peek” at their way of life, and, if I’m lucky, to see the country through their eyes. Ideally, go to visit local friends to fully immerse yourself in the environment, culture and feel the atmosphere.

I didn’t have any friends in Barcelona to stay with, so I decided to make new ones by renting housing from locals. After looking at the descriptions and photographs of several dozen apartments, talking with the owners of almost all of them, and arranging a mutual casting for each other, the choice was made. Guided by intuition and common sense, we chose a cozy apartment ten minutes walk from the Sagrada Familia, with a beautiful terrace, a spacious living room and charming hosts.

It later turned out that the owners turned out to be not only native Spaniards, but also passionate travelers, as well as owners of small businesses, which they managed remotely. Thus, I had the chance not only to make friends with them and learn a lot from them, but also to watch the life of my dreams, which unfolded before my eyes every day for a month.

6. One day it’s worth going on trips without reading guides or making plans.

I don't like too much information preparation before traveling. An excess of data and other people's subjective assessments overload perception and destroy the spontaneity of travel. For me, on the day of departure, it is enough to “vaguely remember” the names of 3-4 well-known attractions. But after arriving, you can let the place show itself, opening up new places and interesting angles. To see the city not only from a tourist point of view, you definitely need to ask the locals for several routes, favorite places and establishments.

A couple of days before departure, I asked my friend, who lived in Barcelona for some time, for recommendations. After some time, I received a mini-guide to the hot spots, 3 A4 pages in size, with detailed comments - where, at what time of day, for what purpose and in what mood you need to be. In addition, my landlords drew amazing route maps, flagging secret places where you must try hot chocolate, stopping by a cafe under an inconspicuous sign, or see the production of handmade caramel in a small shop, turning down a narrow street along the way.

7. It’s worth planning some kind of experiment that you can start while traveling.

Vacations often become the start of something new for me, not only opening up new perspectives and opportunities, but also allowing me to add something new to my life. For example, during a two-week vacation in Thailand, I began to allocate thirty minutes a day to exercise, and that is how daily (with rare exceptions) sports entered my life several years ago. During my trip to Cuba, for the first time in my life, I began to naturally wake up at dawn, and I also began to study Spanish regularly, catching up on classes missed during the holiday.

In Barcelona, such an experiment was the practice of writing morning pages, which I had read and heard a lot about, but had no reason to try. Thanks to this unusual and interesting experiment, a separate notebook stores pieces of impressions, emotions and travel events, written down by hand.

8. One day it’s worth turning off the “get it all done” mode and just trust the flow.

Sometimes, when talking about a certain area, my new Spanish friends did not give recommendations and simply said “just flow”, smiling mysteriously. It was in this flow mode that my acquaintance with Barcelona took place: wake up early in the morning absolutely fresh and well-rested, brew aromatic coffee, leisurely have breakfast, complete work tasks quickly and efficiently, choose an area for a walk.. Go where your heart tells you, turn the corner , suddenly discover a park, a cathedral or an unusual shop, discover attractions that appear out of nowhere... Lie on the grass, listen to street musicians or watch huge soap bubbles... In the subway, meet the members of a new Latin American group touring Europe, be invited to concert... Buy a couple of pieces of salmon in the supermarket and get two more as a gift, not as a promotion, but just like that.

The same rule of trust and flow applied to travel outside the city. One had only to mention the desire to go to the Dali House Museum or look at the Black Madonna, and these trips were organized by themselves through new friends or their acquaintances, who were just planning to go in that direction the other day and could give them a ride. The result was soulful, fun and economical.

It is still surprising to me that, living in such a slow pace, and working at the same time, I managed not only to walk almost the whole of Barcelona, but also to explore its surroundings: Mataro, Sidgets, Besalu, Cadaqués, Fajera, Olot, Montserrat and many places along the way.

9. One day you should allow yourself to be yourself.

I love how on some trips the mechanisms of the “fellow traveler effect” spread throughout the entire trip. When, finding yourself in a new environment, you do not find yourself as an “outlandish overseas tourist”, but organically fit into the general atmosphere as you are. When you can be yourself and there is no need to impress.

In Barcelona it is especially easy, which is why I especially loved it. Firstly, the city is very international, and there are almost always many tourists from different countries, so it is difficult to surprise the residents of this city with anything. Secondly, I got the impression that the Catalans themselves are easy to be themselves, and perhaps that is why they are also tolerant of others. It seems that they don’t think about the fact that they are making any impression at all. Being very friendly, welcoming, and trying to help in everything, at the same time they say what they think, and when emotions go off scale, they do not hesitate to express themselves. Regardless of financial well-being, they do not care too much about their appearance and do not judge others by their clothes. It is difficult to distinguish a very rich Catalan from any other. Its appearance will also be casual and simple. These people value completely different things - comfort, simplicity, natural beauty, love of life, the opportunity to be themselves. I am very grateful to them for such cordiality, hospitality and the opportunity to feel at home.

10. Once on a trip, it’s worth giving up an old habit or forming a new one.

Since I was going to Barcelona not only to relax, but also to work, I was tormented by the question of how to manage everything? How to maintain a balance between work and rest, devoting enough time to the first and enjoying the second? For several months now I have been working on a deeper goal - how to achieve goals while maintaining balance. But despite this, there remained in my life much more rotation of vigorous activities than restorative rest, inaction and contemplation.

I was able to feel this balance there, in Barcelona. Bright colors, the blinding sun, the slightly slower pace of life in the city, subordinated to its own rhythm and allowed us to learn to contemplate again, feel the taste, trust the flow, breathe deeply and live. Live every moment of life here and now with pleasure.

As a result, during the trip I managed not only to complete all the important tasks for my project, but also not to waste time on the unimportant ones. I managed to devote significantly less time to work than before, while using it effectively: conducting Quests to find my favorite job according to my vocation, studying coaching, writing new articles, conducting coaching sessions with clients.

Having returned to the metropolis, I carefully try to maintain a sense of balance, happiness, and adapt a new leisurely lifestyle to it. Still, not only the place influences us, but we also influence it. And it works!

I once discussed with an acquaintance of mine who was planning to move from Norway to Canada for a year and was thinking about what new things he could start doing there, the following phrase: “It is important to remember that, being in another place, I will remain the same person, what was before." He was convinced that if he had not yet started going to the gym or making videos for his blog, he would not start this, despite the changed climate and the new view from the window.

I caught myself thinking that I absolutely disagree with him. Traveling, especially to a new country, is always a powerful wave of freshness and novelty, a refresh of consciousness and a new look at things, new acquaintances and surroundings. I love to travel and always find inspiration from travel. Even if no global breakthroughs occurred during the holiday, in my opinion, every trip inevitably leads to internal changes, even if this is not immediately noticeable.

The trip to Barcelona turned out to be the most eventful for breakthroughs and the most transformational for me. They told me that I began to look different, sound different, became more harmonious and happy. This is how it, the balance of life, manifests itself externally to others! Somehow it turned out to be “my” place, a place of “power”. And if before I returned from travel with the thought “the world is so big, I need to see new places,” then for the first time I want to return and live in this magical place again.

I also wondered, when one dream trip came true, what could be the next goal? And I caught myself thinking - perhaps a trip for an even longer period, or a trip without a return ticket :)

What discoveries happen to you on vacation?
